I felt you shake and let you go
No God in heaven or anywhere at all
Could help me or you and the hell we’ve been through
And I’m sorry for the last few months, I know I haven’t been around
We talk on the weekends, tied down without reason
Changing with the seasons
A bitter touch, a warm taste
Of my lips on your face
I never know when you’re coming home.
If it’s not your weight, I won’t carry it all
You know me, the nervous laughing at a funeral
I’ve always been just a little bit out of place
I promise I'll try to outgrow this facial tick that I have
It’s at the end of a long list of things that I said I would’ve given up for you
She said “I wanna be happy like that”
No, You don’t wanna be happy like me,
I’ve got weight on my shoulders and I know that you know that
I’ll take you to the bottom with me
She said “I know that you say that you’re tired,
But I know that you’re hurting inside
I hope at the end of the rope is where you don’t stay
I just want you to be happy"
